The second Harman Professional Tour Summit held at the W Sentosa welcomed over 100 attendees from distributors, audio visual and lighting rental companies, event management companies, AV consultants, and performance venues.
Spanning over two days, the Tour Summit is focused primarily on the Touring and Performance market in the Asia Pacific region. The event program entailed product overviews and demonstrations by leaders from the Harman Global Product Line Management (GPLM) Team such as George Georgallis, director for performance audio, Hugo Larin, senior business development director for Flux:: and Bjorn VanMunster, senior business development manager for Flux::.
Their presentations highlighted the synergy between JBL’s technical expertise and FLUX::'s creative vision, offering a glimpse into the future of immersive sound solutions.
The audio installation for the summit featured a powerful frontal system consisting of five arrays of fve boxes of JBL VTX-A8 loudspeakers, complemented by six boxes of JBL VTX-B28 subwoofers. To ensure localisation for audience members near the stage, the five JBL VTX-A6 cabinets were strategically placed on top of the subwoofers as a front-fill system. Surround coverage was achieved with eight arrays of three boxes of JBL VTX-A6 speakers.
All loudspeaker were powered by Crown iTech-HD amplifiers and the audio routed through two BSS Soundweb BLU-806 units. Additionally, a Zactrack system was integrated into the overall processing, allowing for automatic tracking of presenters on stage.
A variety of deployment scenarios for immersive experiences was demonstrated, spanning digital art installations, dance festivals, gathering spaces for speeches and relaxation, as well as regional soundscapes inspired by the Spanish and Indian culture.
During the second evening, guests were treated to a live music performance by local band, Reverie, delivered through the immersive line array setup that was mixed in Flux SPAT Revolution.
Another highlight was the official introduction of the MiRA analyser software to the APAC region. MiRA, a state-of-the-art real-time audio analysis software designed for immersive and spatial audio monitoring, and it is capable of supporting multi-channel formats like Dolby Atmos and live immersive sound applications.
Equipped with advanced metering, spectrum analysis, and correlation tools, MiRA integrates with DAWs and hardware, providing precise audio visualization for post-production and live environments.
Other new products making their Asia Pacific debut were the Martin MAC Aura XIP Raven, JBL PRX925 two-way 15-in Loudspeaker, JBL PRX935 three-way 15-in loudspeaker and two new models of flyable subwoofers from the JBL SRX900 series.
