Inavate APAC Awards 2021: All about experience

Here are more details about the newest Project category, Experience Centres, making its debut in this year’s iteration of the Inavate APAC Awards.

Why did we decide to introduce Experience Centres as a project category for the Inavate APAC Awards 2021? The answer is simple. Everyone from manufacturers, distributors to integrators and consultants seem to be investing and creating spaces where they can present their wares to end users.

As the AV industry has moved away from products and black boxes and started talking about solutions and applications the focus has shifted entirely to ‘experience’ and it makes sense to be able to demonstrate and create this ‘experience’ for someone looking to deploy it.

Additionally, the pandemic has thrown a wrench in the usual process of how users would be introduced to new solutions that create the experiences they are after. Restrictions on travel and gatherings mean that exhibitions and trade shows have disappeared.

Which has made Experience Centres invaluable as controlled spaces where safety regulations can be implemented, and the process of discovery conducted. Which brings us to the nitty gritty. The Experience Centre project category is one that is being introduced to the Inavate platform for the first time. So, we will be offering a more expansive time frame for just the Experience Centre category.

We are defining an “Experience Centre” as a space where technology has been integrated to provide an experience to a prospective client. Successful entries must demonstrate that the Experience centre was completed or upgraded between January 1, 2018 and June 30, 2021.

As always if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Inavate team for any further clarification or information.
