ISE organisers have released further details of its Smart Building conference ahead of the one-day summit that takes place on February 5, the day before ISE starts.
Twenty-five experts include Ger Baron, CTO, City of Amsterdam; Phil Zito, founder, Building Automation Monthly; and Cees Links, GM of Qorvo. Event partners KNX, Anixter, Spinetix, biamp, HDL, irdeto, lumenradio and SwitchBee will also present products to attendees.
The conference takes place at the Amsterdam RAI in The Forum and E102 from 9am to 6pm. Attendees will also benefit from dedicated, VIP seating at the ISE show opening address, to be delivered by Carlo Ratti, architect, engineer, inventor, educator and director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
At 6pm Ratti will speak on, ‘Senseable Cities’ and how the increasing deployment of sensors and hand-held electronics is allowing a new approach to the study of the built environment. Ratti was named one of the ‘50 most influential designers in America’ by Fast Company and highlighted in Wired Magazine’s ‘Smart List: 50 people who will change the world.’ Ratti will also participate in the conference’s closing roundtable discussion, ‘From Smart Buildings to Even Smarter Buildings’.
The ISE show, February 6 to 9, has a dedicated Smart Building area in Hall 9, featuring more than 300 exhibitors.
CEDIA will also host a Smart Building Solutions Theatre, sponsored by KNX that features 30-minute presentations from manufacturers, consultants, partners and end users.
