The auditorium of Chulalongkorn University's faculty of engineering has been equipped with a professional sound system by Vision One.
The faculty, recognised as Thailand’s oldest engineering course, features a 500-seat auditorium utilised for various purposes such as lectures, conferences, ceremonial events, and live performances.
Recently, the auditorium underwent an audio revamp. Atkrist oversaw the acoustic design while the audio upgrade was entrusted to Advance Technology Contracting (ATC) as appointed by Atkrist and Chulalongkorn University engineering alumni committee.
ATC collaborated with L-Acoustics certified provider Vision One to implement a professional audio system centred around the A Series for the refurbished auditorium.
To meet Atkrist's technical specifications of even coverage at 102dB, Vision One, with the assistance of L-Acoustics application engineer Chung Wah Khiew, designed the system using L-Acoustics Soundvision 3D audio modelling software.
The system configuration includes a left-right setup of three L-Acoustics A10i Focus with one A10i Wide, complemented by two KS21i subwoofers per side. Front-fill is supplied by four X8 coaxial speakers along the stage lip, and under-balcony fill is provided by five 5XT, while four X8 speakers cover seats in the upper balcony.
