L-Acoustics sound system used at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, Japan

Senzoku Gakuen College of Music has partnered with L-Acoustics certified provider distributor Bestec Audio to install sound systems across three key performance spaces.

Each of the three upgraded performance spaces serves a distinct educational purpose.

The Maeda Hall is a 1,100-seat venue that features a pipe organ and ideal 2.6-second reverberation time for classical performances. To accommodate evolving program needs for contemporary cross-genre collaborations, the hall was upgraded from its previous point source system to a mobile L/R ground stack solution. Each side consists of one L-Acoustics A10 Wide and two A10 Focus boxes mounted on two KS21 subwoofers, all driven by two LA4X amplified controllers.

The Music Pool Cino is a 300-seat performance space that serves as a dedicated musical course facility requiring a high-resolution system with natural sound reproduction. The venue's distinctive wide-yet-shallow dimensions presented unique acoustic challenges. Initial concerns that a L/R system would produce hollow sound due to the space's width were dispelled when Soundvision models demonstrated that an LCR configuration could achieve optimal SPL coverage throughout. An installation of three L/C/R X12 enclosures flown across the front of the stage is complemented by sixteen further X12 speakers as in-fill and stage monitoring, while four SB18 subwoofers have been fitted. The entire system is powered by five LA4X amplified controllers.

Lastly, Big Mouth is a 180-seat music studio space that seeks to host industry professionals, media personnel, and public events. The recent audio upgrade, which replaced an aging point source system, features an L/R ground stacked configuration of three L-Acoustics A15 Focus atop two KS21 subwoofers per side. The entire setup is driven by three LA4X amplified controllers.
