India 2025 wrapped: The stories that shaped Indian AV

Inavate India looks back on a strong year of AV innovation and success, reflecting on the stories that shaped India’s AV success.

India steals the show at the Inavation Awards

There’s no better pulse check for the success of Indian AV on the global stage than the Inavation Awards in EMEA and APAC. 2025 saw Indian AV integrators rank highly among their global peers as finalists and winners at the Inavation Awards 2025 in Bankok and Barcelona.

At the Inavate APAC Awards 2025, Indian AV integrators stormed to victory with three wins. Online Instruments won the Experience Centre category with its Siemens SGI project, while Vallect took the win in the Hospitality category with its Ozen Mansion entry. Not to be outdone, the Retail category trophy was won by ISSPL and Munro Acoustics India with the Nilaya Anthology project.

Over in EMEA, Indian AV integrators gathered in Barcelona for the highly sought after Inavation Awards project categories, with finalists including Eyte Technologies & Cosmos, Pan Intellecom, Sigma AVIT, Innovative Systems and Solutions competing across five categories.

Sigma AVIT took home the trophy for the Inavation Awards corporate category with its Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre.

The Indian AV industry flexed its muscles at both events, reflecting the unparalleled success and innovation that the region has to offer the AV world as a template for global success.

Palm Expo 2025: A vibrant gathering

Palm Expo 2025 stood out as a beacon for AV professionals, bringing together a strong showing of AV, lighting and pro-audio industry brands, integrators and consultants, standing out as one of the most vibrant shows in the region.

Quarterly reviews: Overcoming challenges and championing growth

Indian AV professionals shared their thoughts on a challenging Q2 in 2025, identifying the hurdles posed by continued geopolitical instability and tariffs that plague the AV industry and global markets alike. Manmohan Ganeh identified sourcing as a particular challenge, somewhat impacted by the US tariffs that took effect in early April.

Short-term supply constraints and delays for India and other regions proved to be a challenge, as well as currency volatility that dented the margins of some companies to a small extent.

Nevertheless, optimism reigned and rightly so:  Mustafa Rampurawala, SISPL, identified rapid growth in the Indian market, with SISPL stepping to the forefront on major project roll outs over the last year and clients showing absolute trust in aligning integrators with their thought process for providing AV solutions.

While 2025 has not been an easy ride, this year has provided challenge and ample opportunity in equal measure, opportunities that innovative Indian integrators and manufacturers have seized with both hands.

InfoComm India 2025: Security and services at the centre

InfoComm India once again saw the best and brightest in Indian Pro AV descend upon Mumbai to experience the latest technologies and industry insights. One technology standout was Barco’s CTRL platform, putting security features at the centre of its control room offering end users effective safeguarding against growing cybersecurity threats.

The show offered a forum for integrators and consultants to share their insights on the market’s evolution, with Phil Langley, Wesco Anixter describing how integration is evolving amid continued consolidation and how IT’s growing ownership over AV is driving the convergence of security and network-based technologies and service-led differentiation.

40 under 40: Indian talent at the forefront

Rounding out the year, India once again stood strong in the APAC 40 Under 40 Class of 2025, highlighting the young professionals that are shaping our industry. This year’s honourees showcase outstanding leadership, innovation, and creative thinking from every part of the ecosystem, including integrators, manufacturers, consultants, universities, and end-user organisations. India's high representation represents how innovative and creative India's young professionals continue to be, carrying the banner for the innovation and youth that our industry truly needs.
