INFOBIT has announced a strategic partnership with NETGEAR focused on improving interoperability between AV-over-IP systems and network infrastructure. The collaboration centres on validating INFOBIT’s iSwitch AV-over-IP platform with NETGEAR’s M4250 and M4350 managed switches, aiming to reduce complexity for integrators deploying AV over standard IT networks.
As AV-over-IP adoption continues to grow, one of the biggest friction points remains network configuration and reliability. INFOBIT says the partnership is designed to address this by aligning its AVoIP and Dante-enabled solutions with pre-configured switching environments, helping integrators move towards more predictable deployments.
Testing has been carried out across a range of real-world environments, including corporate, education, hospitality and broadcast applications, with both companies focusing on stable performance at different scales.
The combined approach supports plug-and-play deployment, with NETGEAR’s AV-optimised switching profiles simplifying setup, alongside scalable infrastructure ranging from 1G to 10G networks.
In addition to video transport, the partnership also supports integration of Dante audio workflows, allowing both AV-over-IP and networked audio to operate within a unified network backbone.
The move reflects the growing importance of validated AV and network combinations, as integrators look to reduce risk and avoid configuration issues in AV-over-IP deployments.
