Lightware has continued its investments in various professional development initiatives to empower the next generation of AV professionals.
Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware, commented: “At Lightware, we believe in sharing knowledge, not gatekeeping it. Education is central to our mission.”
Lightware Academy, the e-learning platform which launched in Q4 of 2023, has attracted over 9,000 users worldwide since it went live. During this time, these users have collectively completed more than 18,000 courses.
Lightware Academy offers a scalable, self-paced learning environment with modules designed to support every stage of an AV professional’s career, from initial introductions to AV-over-IP to in-depth training on AV integration. The in-house Lightware team continues to develop its Academy materials and releases new courses on a regular basis.
Lightware Academy content is supplemented by instructor-led webinars, providing live access to technical experts. Over the past year, 11 webinars, including popular USB Masterclasses and Taurus UCX product sessions, have drawn more than 3,100 registrations.
Lightware also continues to invest in physical spaces for training, such as the opening of its dedicated training centre in Düsseldorf, Germany, in June 2024. These in-person experiences are further supported by Lightware Experience Centres across 8 regional hubs, offering technical workshops and one-on-one consultations.
Vida concludes: “By investing in both digital platforms and in-person training, we are helping AV professionals around the world gain the skills and confidence to design and deploy future-ready systems. We are committed to playing an active, positive role in the AV industry, and by continuing to invest in and offer different education initiatives, we’re not only helping to level-up overall competencies, but also ensuring a bright future of innovation.”
