Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong’s [THEI] Chai Wan campus features a 20m LCD media wall with RGBlink X7 universal processor providing videowall control and processing.
The main videowall itself comprises an impressive 48 2K LCD panels arranged as a 16 x 3 linear wall. Two RGBlink X7 universal processors seamlessly stitch input from the touch display system and other sources. An additional four outputs from a X7 provide display to 4K workstations and monitoring in the control room at custom 3,840 x 2,100 resolutions.
The project, completed by Janson Technologies, was featured as a key part of the THEI Chai Wan campus opening ceremonies, with dignitaries including the Hong Kong Chief Executive in attendance.
Configuration and control via RGBlink Xpose enables multiple video sources to be switched on demand, seamlessly and easily, for display on the LCD video wall. The installation also includes touch screen possibilities making the installation truly interactive.
