Last week, Vega wrapped up its two-day event, Vega Solutions Day, which centred on the theme "Networked AV – The Future at Present," in Hong Kong.
Over 200 attendees were present at the show, including AV/IT consultants and end-users from the government, corporate and education sector.
The event was supported by Vega’s partner brands which included Netgear, Crestron, Q-SYS, Shure, Sennheiser, Logitech and others. Notably, there was a particular focus on the Hong Kong and Macau market, and key topics that were highlighted during panel discussions and talks include AV over IP and ESG goals.
Molly Chow, executive director at Vega, commented: “Vega is lucky to have the support of Inavate as well as our beloved partners. It has been exciting to see everyone together after a long time as we discuss on what more there is to learn in the realm of technology.”
Chow mentioned: “As we move forward, we also need to start talking about how AI can support the workplace. We have to consider how technology manufacturers and systems integrators can work together as a single unit to support clients who are seeking to adopt a hybrid mode of working.”
ESG was a prevalent topic that came up during many discussions. Chow shared her insights: “In terms of sustainability, manufacturers are finding ways to be more eco-friendly with their packaging by using recyclable materials. On the social level, Vega is looking at ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace, with a balanced male-female ration in the workforce.”
The event provided AV professionals in the region an excellent opportunity to network with one another and attend live demonstrations of the latest solutions in the market.
Holder Guo, senior manager of the ProAV design team and APAC deputy secretary of SDVoE Greater China at Netgear, observed: “As a highly neutral AV over IP vendor, Netgear is thrilled to be able to participate in Vega’s Solution Day event in Hong Kong. Here, for the first time in recent years, we are able to gather together with manufacturers from different technological backgrounds. Through Vega’s integration capabilities, we aim to provide AV over IP in a software-defined manner, ensuring the best user experience for our mutual end users.”
Sand Leung, managing director of Nova Range, remarked: “Having an intuitive interface is important. I’m seeing a lot of brands improve on the user experiences of their products. The implementation of AI into AV systems is also a new trend, and I am excited to see more collaboration in this aspect.”
Jeff Ng, regional sales director of Hong Kong & Macau at Crestron, concluded: “Having the opportunity to witness new product demonstrations and user application sharing sessions has been inspiring. End-users, consultants and partners had the chance to engage with one another to discuss market trends and share their expectations of the industry.”
