Kramer has added a 15W+15W RMS stereo power amplifier to its VP-796 4K presentation scaler/switcher to reveal the VP-796A.
The addition removes the need to attach an audio de-embedder and external amp to the unit that is suited to use in lecture halls, boardrooms, meeting rooms and houses of worship.
Kramer highlights additional features of the 1U VP-796A, including analogue and embedded audio switching, audio-follow-video switching, two microphone inputs with a mixer, and balanced line-level outputs.
The VP-796A typically switches in a quarter of a second and is based on Calibre’s proprietary HQUltra 4K video processing technology. The product can produce 4K-UHD images from HD content without scaling artifacts and with very low latency. This is crucial for Pro AV applications and not achievable with most 4K scaling solutions.
Video inputs include HDMI, DisplayPort, HDBaseT, VGA, Composite, and DVI-U. The product also features three identical outputs with 4K support: one HDBaseT and two HDMI (one via a DVI connector). VP-796A supports legacy formats.
