Lightware launches control pack smart extenders

Lightware has unveiled its advanced control pack smart extenders for Cisco room integration, adding multiport connection via a Lightware device, smart extender or a matrix.

The range is compiled of three new models, the SW4-TPS-TX240-PLUS and the HDMI-TPS-RX110AY-PLUS.

The extenders feature a built-in event manager room control feature, with users able to have full control from the native Cisco touch screen, displaying and allowing management of all added ports and control points.

The SW4-TPS-TX240-Plus extender can transmit universal video, audio and control up to 170 metres over one CAT cable, supporting HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.1 digital video signals and analogue stereo from local inputs or HDMI or DP embedded audio up to eight channel PCM or HBR audio.

The WP-UMX-TPS-TX130-Plus-US can transmit universal 4K video with audio and control up to a range of 170m over one CAT cable, with the transmitter designed for digital and analogue video and audio signals including VGA, YprPb, HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.1 with analogue stereo audio from local input or embedded 7.1 HBR audio.

Matrix switchers are also available with upgraded firmwares carrying the same control features.

Lightware products feature integration with Cisco collaboration systems through its open API software, allowing for the addition of multiport connection via a Lightware device, a smart extender or a matrix.

An online installation script generator was also created, the Cisco Room Configuration Wizard, allowing users to download an installation script for selected Lightware devices and Cisco kit.
