Mipro adds AD-58 5 GHz 4-channel transmitting antenna combiner to MI-58 Digital IEM series

Mipro has expanded its MI-58 series 5.8 GHz digital in-ear monitoring (IEM) system with the introduction of the AD-58 5 GHz 4-channel transmitting antenna combiner.

The move is geared to meet the demanding needs of live performers, engineers, and interpretation professionals.

The MI-58 digital stereo wireless IEM system includes the MI-58R / MI-580R stereo bodypack receiver, the MI-58T / MI-58TD stereo transmitter, and optional noise-isolating earphones.

With features such as a user-friendly control panel, long-distance signal transmission, and selectable stereo / mono / mixed output modes, the system offers versatile monitoring solutions tailored to both stage performers and interpretation settings.

The MI-580R receiver supports two AA-type batteries or a rechargeable Li-ion battery with USB Type-C charging via a patented, foolproof charging circuit. A 3.5mm TRS output delivers up to 100 mW at 16 Ohms, with optional standard or professional isolating earphones.

The MI-58T / MI-58TD transmitter offers comprehensive control and intuitive design. It includes a graphic OLED screen, rotary control, ACT sync, dual headphone monitoring outputs (3.5mm and 6.3mm), and volume knobs. The rear panel houses XLR / 6.3mm combo inputs, loop outputs, TNC RF connectors, and an optional Dante interface for the MI-58TD.

Transmit power is rated < 25mW, depending on local telecom regulations. A key feature for engineers is the dedicated ENG MODE, providing full control during live performances.

New AD-58 Antenna Combiner Enhances Multi-System Integration

In addition to the AT-58 5 GHz directional log antenna, which helps extend system coverage and improve signal focus, the MI-58 series now welcomes the new AD-58 5 GHz antenna combiner.

Operating within the ISM 5.6–5.9 GHz band, the AD-58 integrates up to four MI-58T / MI-58TD transmitters into a single output antenna with 10dB gain. This reduces antenna congestion and minimises the need for multiple power.

RF LED indicators per channel clearly show signal presence and overload status, providing real-time monitoring at a glance. By streamlining antenna installations and significantly reducing intermodulation interference, the AD-58 ensures greater stability and optimal performance in demanding multi-transmitter environments.
