RGBlink launches Venus X2 processor

RGBlink launched the Venus X2 universal routing and scaling processor at the InfoComm15 exhibition.

The X2 is capable of up to 12+1 layers for continuous display, or as a presentation device, up to 6+1 layers with seamless switching and scaling. Each layer and output can be independently scaled and adjusted dynamically.

Remote configuration and control is via Windows and Mac OSX applications, and native iPad, iPhone and Android apps are scheduled for release as well.

The back panel of the X2 features RGBLink SmartSlot modules for both inputs and outputs. Up to 12 inputs across four modules can be accepted. On the output side, the X2’s four module slots support up to 16 outputs with options for HDMI, SDI and Display Port. With the use of HDMI, the LayerLink feature becomes available.

There are exchangeable options for the preview module and the communications module. The X2 also comes with a built-in power control module with a second optional hot-swap PSU.
