Sennheiser has launched its updated, redesigned MobileConnect app, a WiFi based system for assistive learning in educational installations.
The latest version of MobileConnect removes the need for students to sit in dedicated seats in lecture halls by using a smart device in a BYOD capacity.
Improved audio handling and stream stability is included, with the app’s interface being updated with a new look.
Voice over captions and a dark mode are also provided for the visually impaired, allowing users to adapt the app on a personal basis.
The app includes a personal hearing assistant, opening immediately when the app is launched. Users can select channels by entering a channel ID or use the app’s integrated QR code scanner based on what the space provides.
A waveform animation is featured to signal to users that they are still linked up with the transmission channel when the speaker pauses.
A Sennheiser ConnectStation is linked to the university’s existing audio infrastructure and connected to the university’s WiFi network, with users downloading the MobileConnect app, which is compatible with all iOS and Android devices as well as hearing aids, Cochlea implants and headphones.
