Harman Professional Solutions has announced the Crown ComTech D Series, a new line of power sharing amplifiers.
With Dante inputs and outputs, built-in DSP, Lo-Z/Hi-Z switching, the ComTech D Series is available in 2-, 4-, and 8-channel configuration.
Each model can deliver 125W per channel of legendary Crown amplification when all channels are driven equally. Power sharing enables individual output channels to scale up or down in power, distributing the total output power of the amplifier to meet the needs of the attached speakers.
Additionally, ComTech D models use Harman’s HControl protocol to communicate natively with BSS OMNI Processors or AMX MUSE Automation Controllers and include an API for integration with 3rd-party control systems.
Gar Lap Tsoi, senior product manager for installed audio, Harman Professional Solutions, commented: "The ComTech D Series was born from listening — taking critically valuable feedback from our users and partners to inspire a fresh approach to an all-new lineup of compact, power sharing amps.”
Tsoi concludeD: “Our discussions shared that users wanted the rock-solid reliability they know and trust from Crown but in an amp that can be easily transformed into whatever configuration you need it to be, as often as your needs change. These amps redefine versatility pure and simple. Built on iconic Crown heritage and supercharged with cutting-edge design innovations, they deliver a truly unique, nothing-else-like-it experience. We can’t wait to see the incredible projects and applications you’ll create with them."
