New World Makati hotel chooses Symetrix DSPs

Located in Manilla’s economic district, the New World Makati hotel has chosen Symetrix DSPs to upgrade its audio distribution capabilities. The project was managed and delivered by Systech Lighting & Controls Inc. which had undertaken a previous AV upgrade project at the hotel as well.

For the latest project, the integrator was invited to propose an audio processing and distribution infrastructure to cover the primary ballroom, several meeting spaces, a limited number of guest bedrooms, and various hallway areas. The primary requirement for the chosen solution was that of reliability.

The new system comprises of one SymNet Solus 8 open architecture DSP, one Jupiter 8 fixed architecture DSP and one SymNet Radius 12x8 Dante-scalable DSP. The integrator also specified Symetrix ARC-2e remote control wall panels, primarily for the purposes of quick and easy volume control.

Julius A. Bayot, sales executive at Systech, said six months after completion of the project: “First of all, they love the user interfaces and find them very easy to use. Secondly, the room combining functionality is proving to be a real asset because, in particular, the meeting rooms are used in a variety of different configurations – sometimes separately for small groups, and sometimes together for larger gatherings. They also welcome the fact that it is very easy to add extra inputs if required in the future.”
