InfoComm India 2026 puts a spotlight on new launches and changing mindsets

InfoComm India 2026 brought the Indian AV industry together in Mumbai, highlighting the importance of industry partnerships, interoperability, and product ecosystems.

The 2026 edition of InfoComm India saw the show floor space increase by 17% compared to the 2025 edition, with the show floor space now exceeding 10,600 sq. m. The event spanned across five halls on two levels of Jio World Convention Centre.

Conversations on the show floor revealed the importance of the Indian market for global and regional manufacturers, standing out as the region that shows the most potential for growth. AVIXA’s own market intelligence report revealed an approximate 6% CAGR growth in the pro AV market in India for 2025-2030. This statistic was supported by conversations with manufacturers which revealed the commitment which identified the Indian pro AV market as the fastest growing market internationally for many AV companies Shure.

Indian launches

The show acted as a launchpad for new products released into the Indian market, including Yamaha’s DM5 digital mixing console which was unveiled in the country for the first time at the show.

Optoma launched its N-series displays, a 4K UHD series designed for 24/7 operation and available in 55-in, 65-in, 75-in, 86-in, and 98-in screen size options.

A&T also previewed its upcoming 3D conferencing system ahead of its launch in November 2026, showcasing peripheral-free 3D videoconferencing. The system is used to add depth to videoconferencing meetings for both objects and individuals on a call, creating an immersive feel for traditional 2D videoconferencing meetings.

Crestron also launched its Collab Compute offering for the first time in the Indian market, bringing together enterprise-grade computing, AV connectivity, and intelligent collaboration capabilities ino a scalable platform. Built on Intel Core Ultra processors, Collab Compute features integrated neural processing units to build an AI-ready foundation for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deployments while supporting multiple displays, peripherals, professional audio, multi-camera systems and room automation.

Changing approaches

Elsewhere on the show floor, conversations with systems integrators and consultants revealed a shift in end user expectations and knowledge. Today’s end user is increasingly better educated about the wants and needs of their systems, shifting the conversation from what was a price-sensitive, product led approach to an ecosystem-centric design which puts ease of use, scalability, and flexibility at the centre of the conversation. This maturation has put long-term thinking at the heart of a project brief, where each aspect of a system must operate together in a way that non-technical users can understand and use with minimal disruption.

Education also stood out on the show floor as AVIXA signed a memorandum of understanding with SNDT Women’s University to share industry knowledge, emerging AV trends, and practical learning opportunities for students.

The collaboration will help students to explore initiatives across industry skill development, training, workshops, expert interactions, knowledge exchange, and industry exposure, providing placement opportunity with organisations in AV systems integration and manufacturing across India.

This rethink demonstrates that growth and maturation are occurring side-by-side in the Indian AV industry, highlighting how market acceleration, international investment from end users and manufacturers, are paving the way for growth in the industry.
