Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2026 breaks new records with highest global engagement yet

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou broke several records in its 2026 edition, bringing 2,227 exhibitors from China and overseas.

The show, held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, covered 220,000 square metres across 22 thematic halls which attracted 111,056 professional visitors.

Attendees from more than 100 countries and regions attended the show, representing an approximate 5% year-on-year increase.

More than 100 fringe events, forums, and seminars also took place during the show, bringing a focus on education and knowledge sharing to the event. Key forums and signature demonstrations included the headphone hub and the recording and production zone, which featured immersive demonstrations of advanced audio technologies. A hands-on awareness and risk management for events and performance seminar aimed to highlight the latest in industry safety management capabilities, while the PLSG X NDI Eco-system showcased a range of NDI enabled devices.

Both domestic Chinese manufacturers and international brands were well represented at the show, serving as a launchpad for new products and brand. SoundKing unveiled its new CinemaKing brand on the show floor, a new entity focussed on smart screens, LED, LCD, and projection technologies. Bose Professional even debuted new ShowTime KTV speakers exclusively for the Asian market on the show floor.

The Unicorn Series: Xtage attracted huge crowds at the heart of the show, designed to wow audiences with integrated entertainment technology that saw L-Acoustics speakers bring punchy audio to the spectacle.

The future of the industry sat at the forefront of the show with the first exhibition of stage art works from Chinese higher education bodies, promoting deeper integration between the industry and education.

Judy Cheung, deputy general manager, Messe Frankfurt, commented: “Over the last four days, the fairground was alive with a high level of dynamic business exchanges, bolstered by robust international brand and visitor participation despite ongoing industry headwinds. We were delighted to see exhibitors stay firmly focused on applicable real-world scenarios, underpinned by new technologies, enabling visitors to truly experience the tangible value of these solutions in practice. Looking ahead, Prolight + Sound Guangzhou will continue to expand its specialised zones that emphasise emerging products, providing a constant high-quality indicator of where the future of the industry is heading.”
