Q-SYS hosted its first ever Developer Summit in Singapore on 18 November at the Singapore Q-SYS Experience Centre located within Capital Square.
The full-day event brought together programmers, integrators, and AV professionals for a focused programme of training, hands-on learning, and community building.
Inavate APAC was on site to report on the summit’s key moments.
Singapore is the first of three stops in this APAC series, with subsequent editions set for Hong Kong and Australia. According to Q-SYS, the expansion into the APAC region follows strong engagement with similar developer-focused initiatives in EMEA.
The summit featured a programme led by key members of the global Q-SYS team featuring James Martin, senior manager for EMEA training, Hope Roth, Q-SYS ecosystem community platform manager, and control product manager Tommy Kopin.
The programme touched on technical deep dives, platform updates, and discussions on evolving integration workflows.

According to Q-SYS, the objective of the summit is to empower and connect APAC’s programming community by fostering collaboration and enabling developers to actively influence the future direction of the Q-SYS Platform. The company sees this as a strategic investment in building a network of skilled professionals who can drive adoption, support innovation, and help shape solutions that reflect the unique needs of APAC markets.
Moreover, Q-SYS noted that bridging the gap between developers and the wider AV community remains a central priority, and initiatives like the Developer Summit play a key role in creating a shared language across both domains.
Duncan Savage, vice president and general manager, APAC, remarked: “We will continue to support the developer community through Q-SYS Communities, and by delivering advanced training and certifications to deepen the community's technical expertise, hosting future developer summits, and providing regular updates to Q-SYS Designer Software, ensuring our developers have the latest tools and capabilities.”
