Vega celebrated its 40th anniversary with an exclusive evening gala dinner at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The gathering brought together over 200 guests, including international clients, company leadership, team members, consultants, and vendor partners.
CEO Steve Medeiros opened the formal proceedings with an inspiring address, followed by a tribute to the company’s origins delivered by founder and board member Laurie Chow. Reflecting on Vega’s journey since its last major anniversary in Hong Kong ten years prior, Mr. Chow expressed deep gratitude to the global staff and partners who helped build the firm's legacy.
Regional perspectives were highlighted throughout the program, with executive director Molly Chow sharing insights on North Asia and empowering women in the AV industry, Managing director Richard Johns discussing the establishment of Vega Japan, and SVP and managing director for India and MEA, Blessing Joseph, detailed the company’s expansion across India and the Middle East and Africa.
Industry recognition also took centre stage as AVIXA CEO David Labuskes and chief global officer Sarah Joyce presented Vega with a special commemorative gift.
Thecelebration was supported by major technology partners including Absen, Crestron, Gude, LG, Neat, Q-SYS, Sennheiser, Shure, ViewSonic, and Yamaha.
