Versatech debuts VCX, pushing collaborations across AV and UC&C

Versatech International stages first-ever Versatech Collaborative Expo (VCX) 2025 in the Philippines at the Manila Marriott Hotel.

Anchored around the theme ‘Revolutionising AV and Unified Communications for Next-Gen Collaborations’, VCX 2025 aimed to explore and celebrate what could be possible when bold ideas meet transformative technologies.

The event offered an immersive experience combining live demonstrations, visionary insights, and real-world applications that aimed to reimagine how we work, connect, and thrive in an AI-powered era.

Adding to its impact, the event also marked the launch of a new corporate social responsibility initiative: the Versatech ReSource Program, powered by Humble Sustainability—a service that gives old and unused IT equipment a second life, keeping them out of landfills and putting them back into meaningful circulation.

Stephen Yu, president of Versatech International, said: “VCX is more than a showcase—it’s a platform for progress and partnership. We brought together the ecosystem of innovation, and we’re only just beginning, Versatech Collaborative Expo is about coming together. Because we believe that when we work together, we can turn big ideas into real solutions. VCX has been a powerful convergence of innovation, inspiration, and collaboration. Our keynote and CIO speakers have shared insights that light the way forward as we build the next generation of smart, sustainable, and connected environments.”

Keynote Highlights and CIO Perspectives

Kicking off the program was a keynote by Ferdie Saputil, country director of Searce Philippines, who presented the topic ‘The Rise of Agentic AI: Making Unified Collaboration More Powerful’, exploring the growing role of AI in creating smarter, more intuitive workplace interactions.

Sharing further insights, Rookie Nagtalon, CTO of Aidea Philippines, offered a fresh perspective on how technology can beautifully integrate into physical spaces to enhance both form and function with the topic ‘Marrying Design and Architecture with AV/UC’.

Rudy Guiao, CIO lead & managing director at Accenture Philippines, followed with impassioned success stories underscoring the importance of inclusion and productivity in hybrid work environments through ‘Human-Centric Collaboration: Driving Engagement, Productivity, and Inclusion’.

Global Brands Bring Future Tech to Life

To grasp global perspectives, Versatech’s major brand partners and sponsors shared how their technologies are reshaping business.

• Joong Youn Cho of LG Electronics Philippines spotlighted smart visual collaboration.
• Kelly Ma of Barco ClickShare illustrated seamless wireless teamwork across devices.
• Jennifer Chuang of Samsung Electronics and Isabelle Kim from Samsung Philippines (SEPCO) presented how modern workforces thrive on innovations in professional display, AI, and mobile-first workflows.
• Gordon Zielstra, CEO of Tapplent Technologies connected UC&C and HRTech in shaping future-ready organisations.

Stephen Yu, president of Versatech International, shared: “At the end of the day, it’s not just about the technology, the breakthroughs, the gadgets. It’s about the people behind them. It’s about the trust that we build, the friendships that we make and our collective effort that drives innovation.”

VCX Talks: Empowering the Future of Work in the AI Era

VCX also had a panel discussion moderated by Jessa Dasas, SVP at Versatech International that featured a mix of chief technology experts alongside global brand leaders including Jerry Park of Crestron Electronics, Jostian Ng of Sennheiser Electronics Asia, and Alex Shoon of Jabra GN.

Representing the perspective on enterprise leadership were Kelsey Go, senior advisor at SM Prime Holdings, Inc., alongside returning panelists Rookie Nagtalon (Aidea) and Rudy Guiao (Accenture).

The panel dove into critical topics that define the modern workplace—AI-driven communications, hybrid collaboration, real-time engagement, data security, system integration, and the evolving landscape of voice, video, and messaging while enhancing employee wellbeing in a digitally connected world.

Looking Ahead

Yu said: “Over the past 40 years, we’ve seen technology transform our world in ways that once seemed impossible. Our world has changed. It has changed rapidly, it has changed profoundly, and I’d like to think that it’s changed for the better—but one thing has remained constant: the power of people coming together. At Versatech, we believe innovation isn’t just about accessing technology—it’s about trust, partnership, and shared purpose. Let’s continue to push boundaries, let’s continue to drive innovation, and let’s do it together—because the best is yet to come.”

Following the success of its inaugural launch, VCX Expo is set to return in 2026.
