After 15-years leading the company as owner and CEO, Matt Bennett has officially stepped down from his role at B-Tech AV Mounts. Dick van Baarlen, CEO of Global Mounts Group; the partnership formed last year by Neomounts and B-Tech AV Mounts, will take over as the new CEO of B-Tech, overseeing all operations worldwide.
Bennett first joined B-Tech, the family business, in 1998, whilst it was headquartered in Croydon, London. He was pivotal in growing the export side of the business, before moving to Hong Kong to set up B-Tech’s manufacturing operations and APAC supply chain in 2002. In 2008 he moved back to the UK to complete a management buyout for the parts of the business owned by his father, thus becoming the sole owner of the full group of B-Tech companies.
Since then, Bennett has overseen B-Tech’s growth as a market leader in the design and manufacture of pro AV mounting solutions, culturing the motto of “local service on a global scale” to reflect B-Tech’s unique set up amongst mounting companies; a global network of offices spanning more than 10 countries. After working to complete the deal for B-Tech to join the Global Mounts Group, Matt now steps aside and will keenly watch B-Tech’s development whilst spending more time with his family.
B-Tech’s new CEO, Dick van Baarlen commented: “Taking on Matt’s duties as B-Tech’s CEO, I am confident in further developing B-Tech’s position as a true international market leader of pro-AV mounting solutions. Within the Global Mounts Group, B-Tech continues to serve the pro AV market according to the existing channel and product assortment strategies, and will keep offering the best dedicated support to our distribution, reseller and integrator partners worldwide.”
