InfoComm China 2017 Summit: The future of networked communications

The InfoComm China 2017 Summit is set to return to China National Convention Centre on April 12 to 14, 2017. This year’s expanded programme will provide delegates with learning and discussion experiences on broader issues concerning the future of networked communications and their impact on all industries and businesses.

For the 2017 edition, more trade associations and alliances are collaborating with InfoComm China to jointly- organize seminars and workshops to cater to the needs of vertical-market technology managers. These include Guangdong New Energy Vehicle Industry Association (GDNEVIA), China Hotel Association Wisdom, Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance Taiwan and China InfoWorld Magazine.

The Summit is organized into three main programmes: Technology Forums, Industry Forums and InfoCommAsia University Seminars. Each programme will offer specialized and industry-focused seminars, forums and discussions.

Technology Forums

This programme will delve deeper into how technology, such as the Internet of Things, is transforming the pro-AV industry. It will focus on how technology advancement will shape the development of audio technology and the potential for enhancing and innovating applications for various verticals.

Into its second year at InfoComm China, the Digital Signage Asia Forum is jointly organized with Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance Taiwan. DSA Forum brings together professionals from Taiwan, Japan, China, Singapore and Canada to update knowledge and industry developments on digital signage solutions and applications for various industries.

Leading industry experts will be on hand to lead discussions on the latest developments in display signages including indoor, out-of-home, multimedia and web-based signage systems. The eight sessions this year will benefit stakeholders in sectors such as healthcare, education, retail, entertainment, smart city, transportation and many more.

Industry Forums

This programme is designed to provide for for various industry verticals to address concerns about how the changing technology landscape is shaping their businesses. A total of at least 21 sessions will be offered across six sector-based forums: Education, Entertainment & Live Events, Smart Home, Smart City, Smart Hotel and Information Technology.

Speakers include Lanny Albina Huang, Founder & CEO, VR Educate Limited, who will discuss deploying virtual reality technology for innovative pedagogical methods to enhance learning experience for a new generation of millennials. Other critical industry-specific issues that will be covered over the various forums include the impact of Big Data on future Smart Cities, in particular the management of traffic with driverless and energy-efficient vehicles; and more.

InfoCommAsia University Seminar

In today’s internet-assisted learning environment, classrooms are no longer bound by walls, Aurora Multimedia will lead attendees in discussing how audio, video and control paging can be seamlessly integrated to enhance the education process.

Franky Zhang, Technical Sales Manager, Extron Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd will guide attendees towards a deeper understanding of building collaborative learning space by leveraging audio and visual technologies. These are just two of the over 15 specialised seminars that will address the explosion in the applications of audio, visual and information communication technologies in the modern classroom and learning environment.
