Funktion-One has announced the release of its Vero sound system for tour environments.
The Vero system comprises of speakers, amplifiers, cabling, rigging, transport dollies, weatherproof covers and software.
The Vero speaker range comprises of six low distortion horn-loaded loudspeakers. It is powered by Lab.gruppen PLM 20K44 amplifiers.
Free of processing, the system incorporates Geometric Energy Summation (GES) within the array, with drivers and the geometry of both the waveguides and flying system designed to preserve the original audio signal.
Enclosures can be arrayed at various angles by operators to extend vertical coverage for the near field and sound density control.
Vero’s Projection design and prediction software allows users to optimise array designs for audience coverage. Inter-cabinet splay angles can be adjusted whilst the system is in suspension. It also provides venue plan, cross-section and 3D screens, as well as a measurement tool calibrated in distance and time at the speed of sound.
